The time varies depending on the type of waterproofing material. The basic principle is that tiling can only commence after the waterproofing material has achieved the strength requirements for tiling. Grouting can only be done after the adhesive strength of the tile adhesive meets the requirements (generally 3 to 5 days) following tiling.
