The National Convention Center is located north of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, and is an eight story, nearly 400 meter long building. During the 2008 Olympic Games, it was composed of a fencing arena and an international broadcasting center. After internal renovation after the Olympics, the National Convention Center opened grandly on November 1, 2009, becoming the largest, latest, geographically superior, and well-equipped mega conference center in China. The National Convention Center is a world-class public facility that can meet the needs of large-scale conferences, exhibitions, various public activities, and hotel rooms.
