Applications

It is applicable to fill the fine joint of tile paving, with joint width of 1 to 4 mm.

Construction Techniques

Preparing and instrument: Construction tools for tile joint filling include mixing bucket, measuring cup, putty knife, rubber spatula or caulking spatula, sponge, etc.

Preparation:Clean up the residual paving materials in brickwork joint and test the absorption of the brick surface. If necessary, surface protection measures should be taken to avoid contamination or scratch of the glaze. If the surface is glazed and very smooth without convex, batch scraping method is recommended. If the surface is water absorptive or concave-convex shaped,   filling method shall be used.

Preparation of the tile grout:First add water to the mixing bucket. And then slowly add the powders, stirring until a uniform lump-free paste is obtained. Stand for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir it again for 15 to 30 seconds. Then it is ready to use. The mixed tile Grout needs to be used within 2 hours.

Joint filling:For joint filling with the batch scraping method, the grout shall be applied on the surface of the tiles using a rubber spatula or soft plastic spatula. Make sure the joint is full of filler and scrape the excess filler on the surface. After the filler is dried, clean up the tile surface in a circular way with a wrung wet sponge. Clean up the surface again after 1 day.
