VASA® Waterproof 2C201
Easy-apply Waterproof Mortar

VASA® Waterproof 2C201 is a one-component powder material, made of special cement, aggregate and various additives. Ready for roller coating, brushing or application in batch by mixing with water. After the roller coating and brushing application, slightly surface roughening treatment before tiling is necessary to ensure coat adhesion. It has the advantages of easy and quick application, rapid strength development and excellent waterproof. It is suitable for waterproof treatment of various substrates, such as cement rendering, aerated concrete, lightweight partition panel, gypsum board, and timber.

  • One component, ready for use with water.

  • Waterproof works after 6h.

  • Suitable for both of dry and wet substrates.

  • Protective substrates, waterproof and air permeability.

Product Overview

Construction Techniques

Preparation and tools: The substrate must be solid, clean, level, fully wetted to be saturated without water. The application tools mainly include mechanical agitator, mixing barrel, measuring cup, notched trowel, putty knife and brush etc.

Substrate treatment: The substrate to be waterproofed must be flat and true, clean, and free of water, dirt, oil, grease, concrete curing agent or any loose materials. Repair and smooth the large pores or holes and uneven parts. The external corners should be polished, and radius of 50 mm arc transition should be treated at internal corners.

Preparation of the slurry for waterproof: Mix the rapid hardening cement slurry for waterproof with water in the specified mixing ratio according to the product certificate for 3 minutes. The addition of water should be reduced to obtain suitable working consistency for the application in batch. A homogeneous paste without lumps ready for use. The prepared slurry should be used up in 30 minutes.

Application of the waterproof slurry: Before applying waterproof slurry, VASA PMC-500 interfacial agent is recommended as a primer for substrates to improve the strength and reduce the absorbability. After drying of interfacial agent, apply the waterproof slurry twice or three times. The next coat could be applied after surface drying of the last coat for about 30 minutes. The waterproof of slurry works after hardened for 6h. The thickness of waterproof coat should be 1.5-2.0mm.
